I LOOOOVE their story-listen to this…
“It was Sunday December 12, 2010, and I was working in the neuroscience ICU at Shadyside Hospital. Dr. McCluskey walked in and sat next to me, writing orders in the chart of a patient I was taking care of. I preceded to joke with him regarding his attire and he joked back. I got up to answer a call light from my other patient and when I came back, he was gone. I was called over by the secretary of the unit that day, Donna, who handed me a note with Dr. McCluskey’s phone number on it. She said “He would like to speak with you”. I asked her what it was about, and she shrugged. So I called him on his cell phone, and said “Hey Dr. McCluskey, this is Tina, Im caring for Ms. so and so, you wanted me to call you?” He said “Yes but I was calling about a more personal matter. Would you like to hang out sometime?”. I said yes, of course. Whats funny is I sent an email to my girlfriend that day about the situation, and I still have the email. Im sure it will get read at the wedding. :-)”- Christina
And she does still have the email, framed and I got to see it! I just love that story! <3

“The Proposal…. well it was simple, like us, so perfect. It was my birthday and Kevin kept asking if I wanted to take a trip that weekend or what I wanted to do. Of course I choose to do yard work. So we dug, mulched, planted, watered, spread more mulch, trimmed bushes, etc. We came inside and he took a shower while I laid in the entry way covered in dirt and muck, talking on the phone to my aunt Linda. She asked how I was doing, if I was expecting something and disappointed it didn’t happen. I knew what she was talking about. I said no, if he didn’t do it at dinner last night, he wasn’t going to. We got off the phone as I heard him coming down the steps. Long story short, he told me to shower and he would give me my other gift. My first gift was him ripping up the carpet on the steps and painting them- which is what I had asked for. So I showered and afterwards we lay on the bed dressed in sweats and t-shirts, PLAYING CANDY CRUSH. After we ran out of lives, I asked him for my gift. He said “okay sit on the edge of the bed and close your eyes”. I did and he accuse me of peaking! Even though I wasn’t, I felt like I could see him. He got down on his right knee and placed a ring in my hand and said “open your eyes”. I stared at him and the ring and said “Are you serious?’ He said “well try it on.” I did and I was shaking like a leaf in a wind storm. I asked him if he was sure. Of course Kevin’s response was “well, as sure as Im ever going to be.” So then I asked “Well are you going to ask me?!” and He said, “oh, oh yeah, Will you marry me?””- Christina

“The fact that I have always hated doctors with a passion and now Im marrying one. Oh yeah, and we have 15 years between us in age. I also have been told by others that we have really stuck it out with each other and have worked hard to work through any issue, issues that would have driven each of us away from others in the past, but we both have continued to push through hell to get to heaven. Also, Kevin and myself see everything very differently. Our opinions rarely match up, however we always find a way to compromise.”- Christina
Tell me 3 random facts about Kevin:
1. Wanted to be a priest at one point in his life.
2. He is an eagle scout
3. He doesn’t think he is quirky.

Tell me 3 random facts about Christina:
1. I use to do pottery.
2. My second toe is bigger/longer than my first.
3. i thought the saying was “the fish sinks from the head down” but was informed it was actually “stinks” from the head down. Oh and 4th- I hate stink bugs so much that I cant kill them, unless I spray them with Windex and place candles upside down on top and leave them for Kevin to play coroner when he gets home.

Kevin was such a great sport for everything…. I had so much fun bossing them around the courtyard at St. Paul! Tee he he!

The two of you are absolutely the cutest thing together!! Next up…the reception…and I have to mention, I love that Kevin danced with his bride for more than just the first dance! <3
