This is going to be a long one FULL of LOTS of photos!! I apologize up front….but I couldn’t narrow it down! I not only got to shoot at such a gorgeous place the El Conquistador Resort in Fajardo, Peurto Rico (seriously this place was amazing!) but I also got to work with some amazing vendors. Just want to say hayyyyyyyy to DJ Joel Lopez Rosado from Big J Music Services and wedding planner Sari with Tropical Weddings! You guys made my job a little bit easier and you were awesome to work with and made the day go smoothly…my only complaint….I wish I had 23412343 hours to shoot with the couple. There were so many amazing nooks and crannies around the resort but since we wanted everything to start on time, I had to stay on the timeline! haha!
I also have to take a minute and say how insanely grateful I am for the trust and faith my clients put into me. Brandy has been following me for several years on social media from several states away and having never met her and only going back and forth several times thru email and one single phone call, she invested trust in me to fly us the whole way to Puerto Rico to document one of the most important days of her life. For that I am so grateful and I’m so lucky to have met two amazing friends because of it! <3 Pierre and Brandy were so laid back to work with and they aren’t afraid to laugh out loud…..basically, they were my perfect clients! haha! And Pierre, thanks again for giving her that kick in the rear end she needed! Tee he he!
Do you see that little island in the background? That’s Palomino Island and that’s where their ceremony took place! But first…..the first look and a few portraits around the resort! It was beautiful, just wait and see!
The first look! I love the looks on their faces! Brandy was so excited for this moment! <3
“Pierre proposed to me at a Train concert, during the song “Marry Me”. It happened to be on our one & a half year anniversary, so that was kind of crazy. It was at an ampitheather type venue, so I remember he was running me all over the place trying to find the perfect spot, and I was like “what the heck?? I just wanna hear this song!!” LOL!! Too funny, well he finally just got down on one knee and proposed and of course I said “YES!!” and it was like no one else was there. You couldn’t wipe the smile off my face for the rest of the WEEK! I had no idea. ” – Brandy“We’ve actually known each other since 6th grade! We went to the same private school from 6th-8th grade, lost touch for 22 years or so and then through the wondrous powers of Facebook, “found” each other through our alumni group. Pierre had the locker next to mine. He was the sweetest guy and hilarious back then…still is today. We joke that we’ve done everything backwards in our relationship…we came into it with kids (P has 3, I have 1), we’ve both been divorced, we started literally with not a whole lot but love. We lived together first at my Mom’s house (Pierre lost his house due to his divorce), then rented our own place, and finally bought our sweet little “Love-Well on Ludwell”, and now after exactly 7 years together, we are tying the knot…although we both know it was tied LOOOOOOOONG ago. ;-)” – BrandyI love a silhouette shot! ESPECIALLY when there’s gorgeous blue water behind you! There were shot during one of the hottest times of the day…they never complained once even when Pierre wore long sleeves!
The Bridal Party! Brandy’s daughter and Pierre’s son….you have no idea what I had to say to get this photo! Tee he he!!! I just love these guys! <3
I mean THIS…..THIS is where their ceremony took place! We boarded a ferry and headed over to Polaminos Island (a private island) near the resort. It is amazingly gorgeous! They had their ceremony right next to the gorgeous water and the sun was shinning thru the palms…..basically, it was perfect! ….and the breeze was amazing!!! haha! They didn’t take their eyes off of each other! <3 It was adorable! It’s offical!!!! Mr. + Mrs. Sandoval!!!!
Now….it’s time for some Island portraits! woot woot!! my favorite!!!
This is my all time favorite image from the day….it’s a perfect representation of marriage. There will be sun, there will be rain, and yet you dance! <3 This is the ski! For several moments we thought mayyyyyybe a storm might be moving in. It made for gorgeous skies! I mean c’mon!!!
I could sit here all day! And off to the ferry boat to take us to the reception…..a private restaurant in the middle of a Marina called El Varadero Seaside Grill…..it.was.so.freakin.cute!
Todo, we aren’t in Pittsburgh anymore! How freakin adorable is this place! I’m told this was the first time that the owners held a “reception” there and it was specifically just for Pierre and Brandy. It’s one of their favorite places! and the food was A-MAZING!!!! Instead of cookies like the “pix-burghers” have, they had churros! SCORE!! I managed to sneak them away for a few more portraits around the reception site!
Then…..the party got started and the dance moves came out! I remember asking her to describe how she wants her wedding to be in 3 words…
“EVERYBODY HAVE FUN!!” and “All about love”-Brandy’s words
“Fun, romantic, beautiful”- Pierre’s word (who knew??) 😉
I think you can check those all off of your list! I hope it was everything you imagined it would be! I can’t wait for you to see the rest of your images!!
