Internet, meet baby Zachary! I got to snuggle with this little man last week when he came to the studio to visit with Mom and Dad. I photographed Liz and Steve’s wedding last June-you may remember them, they were the couple with the 1,000 paper cranes. I have always loved that story:
Apparently Liz read a book when she was younger about the 1,000 paper cranes. I’m told that anyone with the patience and commitment to fold 1,000 paper cranes will be granted their most desired wish..it took her a year, but she folded ONE THOUSAND paper cranes and then hung them in the very spot he proposed. So THAT’S exactly where we went for their first look on the day I shot their wedding…..on the back porch of the first house they bought together! A little over a year later, I’d venture to say they got their most desired wish….his name is Zachary! See the images with the paper cranes below…it just melts my heart because there is a story behind it. A story she will be able to someday tell her Grandchildren….a story that will have so much meaning!
He made so many cute facial expressions….look at that smerk!
1,000 paper cranes….Ok, well not all 1,000 were here, but when she came in the studio with a box full of them, I got so excited. I didn’t know ahead of time she was bringing them-it was an awesome surprise!

Baby Zachary, you have been blessed with some amazing parents….although I’m sure they will say it’s the other way around. <3
