Pittsburgh Field Club Outdoor Wedding Reception
If you missed the first blog post, you can view that here: Christ Church of Fox Chapel Wedding Ceremony
Think Classy, romantic, elegant with touches of blush, gold, white and black! It was perfection! Michaelene and Cory held their wedding reception outdoors on the veranda of the Pittsburgh Field Club.
Their first dance was secretely choreographed. Michaelene danced all her life and used to teach ballroom HOWEVER it was Cory’s idea! HE wanted to “Waltz”. Michaelene explains that it’s a pseudo waltz because it’s totally not in 3/4 time but they made it work…..and the guests LOVED IT! The Virginian, one of his fave shows, a western, waltzs at his wedding and Cory wanted to too, so they had been working on practicing for 8 MONTHS. It was beautiful to witness!
Their first dance was a song written by Grander Smith called “Oxygen” . The two of them did a meet and greet with Granger a few months ago at the Butler Fair, in which she told him that we were using his song for their wedding and in response, he told them that he wrote that song for his wife and that it was their first dance too!!!! I think the whole story is pretty awesome!!
I love that their place settings had horse shoes! <3
We snuck into the reception space during cocktail hour to grab a photo of the two of them in the empty space.
The grand entrance….and it was pretty grand!

The First Dance…..
He even lifted her up!! She told me after the dance was over and they had sat down for dinner that she teared up because he did so well! I’d have to agree. Everyone LOVED IT!

The cake cutting! Another horse shoe!!
Cheers!
Mother/Daughter dances always make me so happy!
They had several live performances during the reception! Most people aren’t lucky enough to have one….they had three special guest singers!

And I mean…..hello Rod Stewart! 🙂

The dance floor was full all night…speaking of full….
All the guests gathered onto the dance floor for a group shot! People traveled from near and far, it was fun to get them all in one photo!

At the end of the night, I always try my best to get a night shot. I love that their venue is lit up in the background.
I am sooooooo grateful that you took the chance to reach out to me to see if I was available. The two of you were incredibly easy to work with during the entire process!! I hope this day was everything you had hoped for. I can’t wait for you to see ALL of them!!! <3
Yee-Haw! <3
