What do you want to remember 30 years from now?

That’s the question I asked her when her husband surprised her with a Mother’s Day “Mom and Me” session.

Her answer: “We spend lots of time in our backyard, I’ve love to remember how they play on the trampoline, how we gather around the fire pit and the fun they have around the yard.

<insert happy dance> YAS. YES, we can do that!

I crave more sessions like this. The kind of sessions that “mean something”…with no fluff or cheesy props….the stuff that is going to matter 30 years from now. The children will be grown, the yard will be empty but they will have these memories to remember what that time felt like. That is my “why”.

 

I’m not sure we could have gotten the same amount of personality if we had them sit and smile at the camera…..that’s boring anyways! <3
