If there’s one reason I’d love a cloudy and gray sky here in Pennsylvania this time of the year, it’s because it adds such a moodiness to weddings. A cozy-moodiness during this time of the year. Outside the flurries were falling, there was just a dusting of snow on the ground and inside the all the warm tones of the wood and the winter wedding colors were gorgeous. The light the filters thru all the windows of Home Farm Barn is beautiful and soft.
They were married surrounded by less than 20 of their closest friends and family but later in the night, they celebrated their reception with well over 200 guests who danced the night away.
Just a few things I loved about this wedding:
1. Cliff and I go way back to childhood. I’ve known him since we were itty bitty’s so it was really awesome seeing him after all of these years!
2. I love that Bitty had a piece of her Mom’s dress sewn into the top of her veil-you know how I feel about sentimental things.
3. I love that she chose to wear a hunter green sweater over her dress for warmth but also I love mixing textures and it was perfect for a winter wedding in January.
4. I love how laid back Bitty was, she told me “I hired professionals so I’m going to let them do their job”. 🙂
5. They read their vows privately during their first look-it was so romantic and sweet. I think this is a moment they will absolutely remember from their day, just taking a few minutes to spend privately before the hustle and bustle of a wedding day.
