How it started…..
“We have dated on and off since middle school back in 2012 ish! However, that was the holding hands and kid dating. In high school we tried dating but didn’t want to risk our friendship. Until …. March 2021 we finally gave it a go and it’s been amazing since. We have been engaged since December 10, 2021”- Laurel
My Birthday was on Wednesday December 8th. On the Friday after (the 10th) we had this whole fun day planned. It started with getting to sleep in together and then eating a yummy breakfast (where we ate eggs that our chickens just started to lay). Then we drove to Pittsburgh to go ice skate around the big tree (something we used to do often together as kids). After that we had plans to check into our hotel by the Meadows Casino. Our plan was to then go down to the casino and meet some of my family there to have some dinner, drinks, and gamble. Well. While we were in the hotel room, I was going to change into a cuter outfit. I told Bry this, to which he responded with, “okay, sounds good. But you can get changed after this” and I was all like, “huh??”. Then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. My heart :’) . It was just the two of us so it was so sentimental and sweet. Afterwards I got to go down to the casino and show off my new ring and fiance 😉 .
