They were both living at an off campus apartment while attending Penn State. She overfilled and broke her washing machine. Aaron who worked at the apartment complex while going to school, showed up to fix her washer and somehow that turned into dinner.
“Aaron’s mom had been telling us for years that she needed updated photos of us, his sister and her now husband. Aaron told me the on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend that we were going to have photos taken with his sister and her husband at the Arboretum at Penn State. I nonchalantly said, “you’re going to propose aren’t you?”, to which he responded “I don’t know why you would think that.” The photos were going to be taken by Aaron’s brother-in-law Roo because he has a tripod with a timer for his camera. Fast forward, we got to the Arboretum and had the photos done. After the last group photo, I began walking away from the camera, when Aaron grabbed my hand and he proposed, while his sister got it on video and his brother-in-law took photos of the proposal. After that we went and had engagement photos taken at different locations on Penn State’s campus. ” – Lauren
