It’s that time of the year …..we all pile into the car and head down to our annual visit to Overly’s Country Christmas Village. We’ve been going every since Mallory was a little girl and it’s one of those things our family does every year. This year, she asked to bring a friend and it was adorable as Mallory took her around and showed her everything she’s enjoyed throughout the years!
The Christmas Village is what you make it….and for us, it holds lots of memories! We sit by the fire and chat, roast marsh mellows and watch the kids as they run around the play areas. We take sleigh rides and just spend time surrounded by the ambience of the holiday lights….and yes we see Santa! It’s been awesome going back thru all the years of photos I have and watching Mallory grow! Here’s a few from the years past…
The girls hanging out of the window checking out all of the light displays!
The famous light tunnel! If you stare at it long enough, it makes you dizzy! haha!
The model trains!

The sound of the horses hoofs as they trot by with their bells is a sound that will always make me think of the holidays

Henny the talking tree! She’s mesmerized every year!

Roasting marsh mellows….one of my favorite things to do! I mean who doesn’t like sugar on a stick!

I have to tell you, the kettle korn at Harry Edgar’s is AMAZING!!!! And if you go, don’t forget to bring your letter for Santa, you can drop it off in the mailbox outside of his building!

During our sleigh ride…

I can’t wait to go back! This time a big group of families are heading down a few days before Christmas! I’m saving all of my calories for that day…I’ll be snacking on kettle korn and sipping on hot chocolate!
