oh boy, where do I even start! Ohhh Genna and Adam, how I have loved working with you guys over the past year starting with your engagement session at Ricketts Glen and next I’ll be photographing your heirloom dress in a few months! I’ll never forget the first phone call with Genna! She was the most bubbly and enthusiastic person EVER. I soon found out that she was incredibly sweet too! We got to know each other on our 3 hour drive to and from Ricketts Glen and I knew she was the perfect laid back-not afraid to laugh out loud-kind of bride I LOVE working with! The Oak Lodge in Stahlstown PA was THE PERFECT venue for Genna and Adam’s big day….it was rustic, outdoorsy and had lots of GREEEEEN!!! 🙂 I’m a little biased because it’s one of my favorite venues, the people who run the joint are pretty awesome AND there’s LOTS OF PARKING!!!! After shooting many city weddings, I’ve learned to appreciate parking that’s close to the venue.
We had a gorgeous day with blue skies and she scheduled in lots of time for portraits <—do you see why I love her!!
I’m really proud of the images from this wedding-it was my first wedding back from maternity leave and it felt so good to get back into my groove. I also want to give a shout out to Greg and Amanda who came along to help out with this wedding-I love yinz guys!!
I mean, we HAD to take her dress outside…she told us: “take it anywhere you want!”. YASSSS!!!!
You can tell when someone is REALLY smiling…they crinkle up their nose! Tee he he!
Getting into the dress is one of my favorite moments! She had such a gorgeous lodge to get ready in.
This was one of the most emotional moments of the day for me. I cried like a baby when Genna read the letter that her father wrote for her on her wedding day. BIG FAT TEARS!

Adam shed a few big fat tears too while opening the gift from his bride.
BOOM! Love this shot by Amanda.
Genna on her way to the first look at the covered bridge at Oak Lodge’s farm.
She was so excited she could hardly contain it.
I think he likes her! <3
A few of the group….a fun bunch who put up with all of us people with cameras on a hot and humid day….but did I mention that we had blue skies! WOOT WOOT
Southwestern PA has had so many rainy Saturday’s this year, it was refreshing to have such a beautiful day. We wrapped it up at the barn and headed back to the lodge for more photos…..just wait until you see those! Genna scheduled in lots of time for portraits….Bride’s if your reading this, I HIGHLY SUGGEST doing a first look so that we have lots of time for photos. Once you see all of hers…you’ll understand why! <3 Stay tuned for more images!
