I love that Pittsburgh has it’s own Love Locks bridge and that it’s idea made it’s way from Europe! These European-inspired “love padlocks” have been accumulating over the past three years and can be found on several bridges throughout Pittsburgh, but are most concentrated on the Schenley Bridge in Oakland where we went for Tara and Derrick to place their own “lock of love” and a few portraits.
The idea that couples (from all over the world) lock in their love and then toss the key into the river is…..well…romantic!

…and look how colorful and eclectic it is!
We were lucky on this particular day-we were the only wedding…however we did have a few passerby’ers! haha!
Oh you know, please excuse my dog while he walks right over your dress!

After leaving the bridge we headed over to the infamous Carnegie Columns. It’s basically an iconic Pittsburgh location for wedding photos. It’s gorgeous with all the ornate concrete and how the light bounces off of the walls and floor.

I have often wandered just how many couples have shared kisses here! Thousands and Thousands over the years I’m sure!

I love how happy they were!
Then off to the Southpoint Golf Club for the reception. Check out all of these details!
Here comes the Bride and Groom……who just happened to get married on the night of a Penguin’s play off game! haha

They took dance lessons before their wedding…so they didn’t look like a bunch of teenagers swaying back and forth on the dance floor! haha!
It was adorable…sweet….and romantic!
I love a good cake smashing shot!

The speeches!

Let the dancing begin!

Tara and Derrick, I hope you guys are having an amazing time in the sun and the sand. I can’t wait for you to see the rest of your images.
