Wedding Receptions in the Grand Ball Room at Chestnut Ridge Resort in Blairsville Pennsylvania
Before they entered their “party”…and trust me, it was a party in the ballroom of Chestnut Ridge Resort, we hopped on a few golf carts and went out on the golf course for a few wedding photos. It was a hot one with really high humidity but everyone was such a great sport about it! I always joke that there’s never really a happy medium for anyone….depending on what time of the year the wedding is taking place, it’s either too hot for the guys with the jackets in the summer or it’s too cold for the girls in the fall/winter but we always seem to make it work with a little cooperation from the wedding party!

When the humidity is really high and the sun is blazing down, I always try my best to seek out shade. Not only is it cooler, but it also helps so that not everyone is squinting the the photos. I try to give really good directions so that we can get the shots and then get them back into the air conditioning! haha!

…and we always find the time to have a little fun! haha!

I LOOOOVE this light!
Back inside the ballroom, guests were finding their seats. Peach, gold and subtle hits of green were on the table and it smelled absolutely delightful in there with all of the flowers!
The bride and groom’s grand entrance…well part of it anyways! haha
The first dance!
One of my favorite things about Chestnut Ridge are the floor to ceiling windows over looking the mountains!
Funny story: the garter was MIA. The last time we had seen it was during the getting ready portion of the day so when the DJ said it was time for the garter/bouquet toss it was no where to be found…but the show must go on! haha!
With a little improvising, we found a glow stick! They were such great sports about it and everyone got a giggle!

He’s super excited about that glow stick! haha!

The bride had warned me about an epic family dance that has become tradition in their family! As soon “Paradise by the Dashboard Light” came on…….is pretty epic. I wast told to be prepared to document some hilarious moments and they didn’t disappoint!
“will you love me….love me foreverrrrrrrrr”…..
“….I need to know right now!!!…..”

The entire family participated and it was one of the funnest things that evening!
….and then THIS happened! I always try to sneak my couples out for a few photos towards the end of the night and in this case, we went and had some photos taken by the fountain!

Becca and Josh, I can’t wait for you to see all of your images. Thank you sooooo much for having me document your day! <3
