Firstly….don’t go sending me private messages asking where this venue is-because it’s not actually a venue! haha! Oh, I know, it absolutely looks like it could be -or should be- but it’s not. It’s private property tucked back into gorgeous land in the Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania area.
This is just one of the blogs I’ll be posting from Denise and Justin’s wedding day and it gets better and better as the day goes on! This whole even was supposed to take place back in March with completely different ideas, a completely different location , completely different plans and completely different world circumstances…..and then COVID.
I remember the day she called me. She lives in the state of California and was attempting to plan a wedding from afar -which is complicated enough without a world wide pandemic! I could hear the nervousness in her voice as she asked me if I’d be ok moving her wedding to a completely different location on Justin’s family property in the fall! I said “abso-freakin-lutely”, I’ll be there with bells on. As with all the other COVID 2020 Brides, I could tell she was disappointed because her plans got de-railed and so suddenly. Guests were supposed to be traveling from out of state with air travel being unpredictable, the venue was placing restrictions per CDC on the amount of people that could attend and the world was in complete chaos and then there were Brides just trying to salvage the event they had so painstakingly planning for months and in some cases YEARS.
In my opinion-this was 1 million times better than the original plan. Instead of some random venue that holds no sentimental value-they were able to create the most magical wedding with all the most important people on property that means something. You can check out the images and be the judge for yourself.
If you want to follow along on Instagram, I’ll be posting more sneak peeks over there. In the meantime, be on the look out for part 2 (possibly part 3) of Denise + Justin’s blog very soon!
