Technically speaking, this is my 14th year of photographing “first day of school” photos. I started with Mallory when she was off to Kindergarten and just kind of kept it going every single year until she graduated. After 13 years of her “first day of school” mornings, I put together an album for her. With each turn of the page, you can watch her grow and mature…..and I plan to do the very same with little man!
If you’re new here, every single year on the first day of school, I am THAT Mom who documents the whole morning with my camera…I’m talking THE WHOLE MORNING! I have zero shame. You can see the years prior with these links, but I have the entire 13 years of Mallory’s years as well. It was so weird this morning not having Mallory here anymore since she’s now a college student but I’m sure she can relate to Levi on how annoying it is to have your Mom follow you around while you’re getting ready! haha!
First Day of Kindergarten
First Day of 1st Grade
Last night when we were getting him ready for bed, he said, “I can’t wait to be in 2nd grade. I’m going to be so cool”! haha! He’s grown so much since the end of 1st grade- literally and figuratively, 2 inches to be exact! No wonder he was eating me out of house and home! I can almost envision what he’s going to look like as a teenager and it makes me realize that I don’t have much more time having “little kids” in the house. We have reached the state where he doesn’t want to play with the same toys, his interests are changing and he’s saying stuff like “bro”. <insert eye roll>
I’m sure some day he’s going to hate me for these…but it’s a right of passage, Mallory had to put up with me so he will too! haha!
