Did you ever notice that when you go to pack for a vacation, you kind of turn into a whole different person? You imagine yourself wearing things that you normally wouldn’t wear in your everyday life at home. That causes you to go shopping for a whole new wardrobe and you tend to pack everything under the sun because you don’t know if “you’re going to need it” and it would be a shame if you have to buy it there when you could just bring it along for free?! Realistically, you know you will probably only wear two pairs of shoes-the good old flip flops and maybe a dressy pair for those late night fancy dinners…but then you somehow end up with a suitcase dedicated to only the shoes you will bring. Before you know it, you have 10 suitcases-one dedicated to shoes, one to hair care products, one for a bazillion swim suits, one with just your camera equipment and so on? Yep…that’s me!

Our family is getting packed up to go to the Dominican Republic for a week which means our wardrobe should mainly be swim suites…..but NOOOOOOO….I must feel the need to pack EVERYTHING I own and then some! I even drug Greg along yesterday to go last minute shopping, I ended up getting a bunch of stuff I KNOOOW I won’t wear, but you know I had to have it “just in case”. I think I may have rubbed off on Mallory because she has begun to make piles of all the things she wants to take……this could get interesting! She’s sooo excited to go. Last year we took her to Puerto Rico, so she’s been out of the country before, but I’m not sure if it’s that she’s a year older and is started to realize the “adventure” behind traveling…but she’s so excited-even if she has to do her homework on the beach!

I want to thank you for your patience while I’m out of the office for the week of April 13th-22nd. I will be checking emails and phone messages periodically throughout the trip, but rest assured, I will be returning all calls and emails as soon as I return……with a tan! haha!
